Terms of service

These terms govern the sale of LASE products through lase.studio to consumers in the European Union. By placing an order you agree to them.

1.1 Who you are buying from

Your contract is with Jan Prouza, a sole trader (OSVC) with place of business at Dlouha Ves 209, 516 01 Rychnov nad Kneznou, Czech Republic, Business ID (ICO) 09186387, registered in the Czech Trade Register. The seller is not a VAT payer, so prices do not include VAT. All contact is handled at info@lase.studio.

1.2 Our products

LASE lamps and vases are modular objects built to order from individual printed modules, connectors and add-ons (glass insert, light kit). The MONO and STEREO products shown on the site are curated example configurations; the configurator lets you assemble your own. Every item is produced to order - nothing is held in stock.

Product photographs and 3D previews are illustrative. Because each piece is printed and hand-finished, minor variations in colour, texture and dimensions are normal and are not defects.

1.3 Prices and currency

All prices are shown in euro (EUR) at checkout and are final - the seller is not a VAT payer, so no VAT is added. Shipping within the EU is free. The price that applies to your order is the price displayed at the moment you complete it.

1.4 How a contract is formed

Placing an order and completing payment is a binding offer to buy. The contract is concluded when we confirm your order by email. That confirmation, together with these terms, forms your contract. We keep a record of it and can send you a copy on request.

1.5 Payment

Payment is taken at the time of order through the payment methods offered at checkout (processed by Shopify Payments and connected providers). We never see or store your full card details.

1.6 Founding pre-orders

During the founding launch, products may be offered as pre-orders at a reduced founding price. A pre-order is a normal purchase with deferred delivery - your consumer rights apply in full.
  • Payment is taken at the time of order to reserve your founding price and production slot.
  • Founding pre-orders are produced and dispatched as a batch, currently expected in September 2026. The expected dispatch window is always shown on the product before you order.
  • You keep the right to withdraw. If we cannot deliver by the stated window, we will tell you and you may cancel for a full refund.

1.7 Delivery and withdrawal

Delivery terms are in our Shipping policy, and your right to change your mind (14 days, all products including custom builds) in our Refund & Returns policy. These form part of these terms.

1.8 Warranty and complaints

You have a legal guarantee that goods conform to the contract for 24 months from delivery. If a defect appears in that time, you are entitled to a free remedy - repair or replacement, and where those are not possible, a price reduction or refund, under the conditions set by law.

What is not a defect. LASE pieces are 3D-printed from PLA and hand-finished; the following are characteristics of the product, not defects: fine layer lines and small variations in colour or dimension between pieces; normal wear, and damage caused by misuse, accident or unsuitable conditions (e.g. sustained heat or outdoor exposure). The glass insert and any light kit are covered against manufacturing defects but not against breakage or misuse.

How to claim. Email info@lase.studio with your order number, a description of the problem and a photo; we will confirm how to proceed. Approved returns for repair or replacement are sent to Jan Prouza, Wuchterlova 584/16, 160 00 Prague 6, Czech Republic. We settle claims - including any repair or replacement - within 30 days of receiving them, unless we agree a longer period with you, and confirm the outcome in writing.

1.9 Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic; as a consumer you also keep the mandatory protections of your own country of residence. Out-of-court consumer disputes may be brought to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Ceska obchodni inspekce, coi.cz). The EU online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
